Placement Contingency Fee Policy
- The recruiting fees for our services are on a contingency basis and are earned only if a candidate is hired, directly or indirectly, by the employer or any of its affiliates, within one year of our referral. The recruiting fee is also earned in the event the employer refers the candidate to another employer who hires the candidate.
- We offer a 100% thirty-day guarantee on candidates referred by our placement division. If for any reason during the guarantee period you should discharge the candidate for cause, or the candidate should leave without cause, we will either replace the candidate or send you a refund of the fee you have paid us. All recruiting fees are due and payable when the candidate begins work.
- Recruiting fees are based on the candidate’s mutually estimated total compensation for the first year. For positions paying bonuses or other incentives, we reserve the right to estimate such additional income and to include same in the candidate’s first year’s compensation for purposes of calculating the recruiting fee. This estimate is not subject to increase or reduction after the placement.
- Recruiting fees are charged at the following percentage of the individual’s estimated total compensation for the first year:

- Hiring of candidates referred to you by Hastings & Hastings, Inc. constitutes acceptance of our fee policy.
Temporary Specialist Program
In order to meet the ever changing needs of our valuable clients, while keeping pace with current job market trends, Hastings & Hastings has the following options available to those clients who wish to hire one of our Temporary Employees:
If eligible for this program, our Temporary Employee may be hired at no additional charge after 520 hours (approximately 90 days*) of temporary employment. This program eliminates the involvement of our Placement Division.
Hastings & Hastings also offers you the opportunity to hire the same employee before the 90-day period expires by liquidating the Temporary's contract. The salary you offer and the length of temporary service determine the special liquidation amount.
